Science: This week we will be working on nonfiction text features with a scavenger hunt covering our book and then we will be moving on to our first major unit: States of Matter, Heat, and Energy. We will be begin the unit by learning how to use a triple beam balance (think a small version of a doctor’s office scale) to calculate mass and will try our hands and massing all sorts of objects!
Homeroom: STUCO reps don't forget the first meeting is this Thursday September 5th in the music room!
Monday: No school (Labor Day)
Tuesday: Today we looked at nonfiction text features and started an acrostic poem to help us remember the purposes for all of the text features. We will finish the acrostic poem notes tomorrow and then complete the scavenger hunt for our textbook before the end of class.
