Science:
This week (11/25) and next week (12/2) students will be:
- Finishing up their three types of rock brochures
- Completing a reading over the Rock Cycle (2.6) and tying all of their learning together
- Creating their own "Crayon Rocks" during a multi-day exploration of how the Rock Cycle functions
- Test: Thursday December 5th over Ch 2 (2.1--2.6) with an after-school study session on Wednesday the 4th

Monday: Today we:
- Analyzed the Rock Cycle by running a simulation using crayons as our rocks. Students were given 40 minutes today to create their sedimentary and metamorphic rocks and we will continue the lab in class tomorrow.
Tuesday:Today we:
- Continued to analyze the Rock Cycle by running a simulation using crayons as our rocks. Students were given the whole class period today to create their metamorphic and igneous rocks and we will finish the lab in class tomorrow.
Wednesday: Today we:
- Finished our Rock Cycle Lab. Students were given the whole class period today to create their igneous rocks and finished the lab by completing a diagram demonstrating the Rock Cycle.
- Students who had time after they finished the lab (average 20 minutes) worked on their study guides and prepared for the test tomorrow December 4th!
Thursday:Today we:
- Completed our test in 1st hour in preparation for bad weather.
- Students during their Science time today then played a review game (Jeopardy) over their Social Studies material in preparation for their Chapter 2 Test over Egypt on Monday the 9th!
