Thursday March 27th

The Plan:
Science: 

We will conclude our Measurement Unit by doing the following:

  •  Looking at the concept of volume as it applies to cubes and rectangular/triangular prisms.
  • Completing an assessment on Thursday the 26th showing what students know.

What is Happening:

Monday: Today we:
  • Started looking at the concept of volume by figuring out the formulas and the reasons they work. 
  • Completed a few practice problems as an exit ticket before the end of class.

Tuesday: Today we:
  • Went on a field trip to the various universities to learn more about careers we are interested in.

Wednesday: Today we:
  • Finished looking at the concept of volume by reviewing with a brainpop over the volume of prisms. 
  • Practiced our volume-calculating skills in class with the help of our classmates and teacher.

Thursday: Today we:
  • Started our test over measurement and geometry.
  • *Due to time issues we were unable to complete our test in one sitting but we will finish the test tomorrow and the students will have the entire time tomorrow to work as well.
