Science:
This week students will conclude our unit on The Atmosphere by doing the following:
- Identify in what form the energy travels from the sun to Earth.
- Explain what happens to the sun’s energy in the atmosphere and at Earth’s surface.
- Review.
- Take the unit test on The Atmosphere on Friday. (Study guides were sent home on Tuesday, April 8th.)
Homeroom: None
Monday: Today we:
- Completed note-taking on 3.4 "Energy in the Atmosphere" in preparation for our foldable we will be completing tomorrow in class.
Tuesday: Today we:
- Completed a lab over the rate at which different materials absorb solar radiation in the form of heat.
- Completed a foldable over how radiation from the Sun reacts with Earth's Troposphere.
Wednesday: Today we:
- Completed our discussion over a lab dealing with the rate at which different materials absorb solar radiation in the form of heat.
- Created triple-line graphs to show off our understanding of how solar absorption works
Thursday: Today we:
- Studied the Greenhouse Effect and how the gases keep Earth heated to a comfortable temperature.
- Took notes over a Mythbusters experiment studying the Greenhouse Effect on page 77 of their Science Notebooks.
Friday: Today we:
- Took our test over Earth's Atmosphere
