Science:
This week students will begin a unit on The Atmosphere by doing the following:
- Describe the composition of the atmosphere and explain how the atmosphere is a system.
- Identify some properties of air.
- Describe how barometers can be used to measure air pressure.
- Explain how altitude affects air pressure and density.
Advance Planning: The Measurement test needs to be signed and returned by Thursday April 3rd.
Homeroom: None
Monday: Today we:
- Looked at our Measurement and Geometry test and made the necessary corrections by looking at why we made the mistakes we did and then we found the correct answers.
- The corrections are worth 1/2 credit per question and as soon as they are graded the tests will be returned to the students for a signature.
Tuesday: Today we:
- Completed a vocabulary preview activity (vocabulary Rock and Roll) in order to get ourselves familiar with the new unit's vocabulary.
- Began reading 3.1 "The Air Around You" and filled out notes on page 72 of our Science Notebook.
- Completed our reading (3.1 "The Air Around You") and notes on page 72 of our Science Notebooks.
- Looked at the "Atmosphere Design Lab" on our computers as an extension.
