Science:
This week we will be
continuing our study of the rock cycle by working on 2.5 “Metamorphic Rocks”
which will include a lab making Metamorphic Smores. After we have finished 2.5
we will be working on a travel brochure that will help students put together the
similarities and differences between the rock types. As usual a quiz will be
coming up the 19th over 2.3, 2.4, and 2.5. We have almost finished the unit, and
so look for a study guide to come home late in the week. As of now our test
over Rocks, Minerals, and the Rock Cycle is tentatively scheduled for Friday
April 26th.
Homeroom:
Monday: We began the day by checking our Igneous rock labs to make sure we understood everything that was happening during the lab and then we graphed our quizzes from last Friday. Students then began their notes on 2.5 "Metamorphic Rocks" which they completed with either a partner or by themselves in class. Students then were given the task to create either a comic strip or short story based on a rock's journey of changing into a metamorphic rock. This will be due 10 minutes into class tomorrow.Homeroom:
Last week students were given their Silver Dollar City money forms which are due back by Friday, April 19th. Thanks for all your support with this field trip!
